A different Christmas

Hi. I am off to the German Christmas market today and am really looking forward to it.....
Here is my Sunday sketch and stamp card... Now the truth is I am not sure if many people will like this as it is definitely not an average Christmas time card. I used one of Dyan's monster stamps and paper pieced his clothes and boots with Christmas present paper. Every time I use him I think of the song "all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" so that was what I used. I hope it's not too weird, just a bit of fun x

Gelli and acrylic

Hello. Today I tried some acrylic paint on my gelli plate and the result was stunning. It was a shimmering gold paint and a clarity tree stencil. A spellbinder and sheena's winter roses complete this ( I think ) lovely tag x

Monday 18 November 2013

hello.... here is the card I made for this weeks Sunday sketch and stamp....

For the squares I used a blue ink pad, the splodgeaway snowflake stencil and my gelli plate. A Crafters companion stamp, a spellbinders die and my watercolour pencils were used for the topper and some glitter card was cut to go behind. Some snowflakes cut from the glitter card were used as the embellishments. Some blue 12" paper was cut to size and outlined using a promarker.  I hope you like it.x

LOVE

Good morning......

I bought lots of stamps last week at the NEC, some of which were from a company called Visible Image.
I love these stamps and will definitely be buying more..... anyway, I have decided to enter their monthly challenge which is 'sparkle' this month. Although I must admit, I think I will be entering more than once.....

Here is my first entry,

I used my new gelli plate for the background.  I applied pink and purple inks and some stamping to the gelli before transferring onto card. I stamped the sentiment straight on top and used black embossing powder. I stamped and coloured the girl and the flowers using alcohol markers before cutting them out. The circles and swirls were cut using  dies and shimmer card and I added some glitter to the dress, cape and flowers.
I love it, I hope you do too x

Sunday sketch and stamp...

Hello from a cold but sunny Derbyshire... I hope you are all well.
I love being part of a design team as it gives me a reason to hide in my craft room ;-)

Here is my project for this weeks challenge .....

The background paper was cut to size and I inked the edges using a green distress ink and my splodgeaway mat. A piece of ribbon separated  my layout into three pieces. The arrows were cut from centura  pearl card and  coloured with the same green ink. The butterflies were cut using a die.
The main image was made using the new Hobby Art stamps I bought at the NEC this week. It was then coloured using Derwent blending pencils. The leaves are a Sheena Douglass stamp coloured using Inktense water colour pencils. A best wishes sentiment finished it off. I hope you like it x

Sunday sketch and stamp

Good morning...

This is my first official card as a Sunday Sketch and Stamp Design Team member......I hope you like it...

I obviously followed this weeks stetch.... I stamped the sunflowers onto white card and used Derwent pencils for the leaves and soil and Inktense water pencils for the heads.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set which I inked using green distress ink and black archival before stamping onto more white card.
The background was from a paper pack and I stamped the flowers at the bottom using shillouette stamps and a brown archival ink.
I didn't have any orange ribbon so I  put some orange distress ink on my Splogdeaway mat and which I sprayed with water before rubbing some white ribbon in.
Some brown card made the middle section and mounted both pieces of white card. The ribbon was wrapped round the card and stuck down first, followed by the flowers and the sentiment.
Some orange glass gems completed the card.

Thank you for stopping by.... x

Steampunk wedding

Hi...Its Whitby Goth this weekend, and although I am not there:( one of my cards is :)

A friend asked me to make a wedding vow renewal card for this weekend. they were going to a vow renewal ceremony with a steampunk twist. I hope they have a fabulous weekend and that they like their card.

Although you cant see it clearly on a photograph, the dress has three layers of card and paper. lots of Indigo blu flitter flakes and one of their stamps made the background, topped with an antique gold shimmer card, (cut with xcut dies and my grand calibur). Kanban stamps and paper piecing for the man and woman and the sentiment was printed out then matted on gold.
The insert was done using craft artist 2.....

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it. x

Splodgeaway sparkle

Hello, I hope you are all well and warm....
This is my card for this weeks Splodgeaway blog....

I used my Splodgeaway mat as a water palette by splodging ink onto it, spraying water and ‘rubbing’ card on to collect ink. (I hope that makes sense?) I did this with red, orange and yellow distress inks. I then used gold and red cosmic shimmer powder and just brushed it over the background.
I embossed some white shimmer card using the elegant lattice mask and cut to size.
I traced the outlines of the dresses using the dress mask onto a sparkle shimmer card and cut these out, and used black distress ink through the mask to create the woman and the dummy and then cut these out. I layered the dresses over and added a bit of ribbon.
The flowers were made by embossing the loose flowers on the same white card, cutting out and colouring using the orange distress ink. some spots of glue and some bronze coloured glitter made the middles.

The word ‘decisions’ was stamped using an alphabet and matted onto black card.

This is how I feel when getting ready for a night out and often try lots of things on before making a decision .... hope you like it.x
